International Friendly, Wales vs South Africa Betting Preview, 23 November
Rugby International friendlies continue this weekend with various games taking place but we focus the match between Wales and South Africa, which will be held at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and “Rob the Ringer” is looking forward to having a bet.
WALES VS SOUTH AFRICA
Match Handicap: Wales +26.5 (at time of writing)
Wales have had a terrible season and they are currently on a 10-game losing streak in 2024, with a loss in 2023 leaving them on 11 total games without a win.
Their most recent match saw them play against Australia in front of home supporters on Sunday the 17th of November. The game started with Australia leading by 19 points early but Wales then clawed their way back into the game and the half time score stood at 19-13 to the visitors. It was then expected that the second half would be a nail biter, but Australia ran away with an easy win in the end with a final score of 52-20.
South Africa have been on superb form since the start of the Rugby Championships, winning 7 and losing just 1 of their 8 games so far.
Last weekend they took on a tough England side at Allianz Stadium, where England opened the scoring early on, going 7-0 up. South Africa then hit back with a converted try of their own, levelling things. The game then remained tight until the first 40 minutes concluded, with the scoreboard showing 19-17 to South Africa. Both sides had a disallowed try early in the second half and a bit later Smith knocked over a penalty, resulting in England taking a 1-point lead.
The Boks were just too strong though and by the end of the match they were ten points up, winning the fixture 29-20 and handing England their 5th consecutive loss.
Head-To-Head
Their most recent clash in Wales was in August last year, the match was dominated by the Springboks who pulled off a 52-16 win in a RWC warm up.
The sides met at Twickenham early this year and once again it was a dominant 56-16 win for the Boks.
ROB THE RINGER’S PLAYS – match markets available here
I expect points in this game and I believe most of them will be scored by the visitors. I am backing the Boks to win by 27 points or more.
