Football is a gift that keeps on giving, and we are in for an exciting schedule this weekend after an action-packed week in Europe. Have a look at the upcoming games!
Chelsea finally struck a winning run. Although just 2 games, the Blues go into the game on the back of a 1-0 win against Leeds in the Premier League, and a bag of confidence having progressed to the UCL quarterfinals after beating Dortmund 2-0. However, their confidence might be outweighed by their away record, as the Blues are currently winless in 10 away games in all competitions, having lost 7 of those. But, looking at their H2H, Leicester has failed to beat Chelsea in the last 4 and we don`t see this changing on Saturday. We expect Chelsea to win & under 2.5 goals.
Crystal Palace vs Manchester City
Things are looking gloomy for Crystal Palace, as they sit 12 on the table and have failed to win a single game in the last 10 in all competitions – with the last result being a 1-0 defeat to Villa. The Eagles have big problems with a lack of finishing ability, with the last time they managed to score more than 1 goal being back in December. However, they`ve frustrated their opponents at Selhurst park, drawing 4 of their last 4 home games, and managed to keep the Citizens to a 0-0 during their last visit.
The Citizens are flying high now, having won 3 consecutive games in all competitions, and bombarding their opponents with a total of 9 goals in just 3 games. However, they can`t afford any slip-ups on Saturday as they`re 5 points adrift from league-leading Arsenal. Although a trip to Selhurst Park may not be easy, the Citizens have already beaten the Eagles this season and are likely to do a double on the day considering their blistering attacking performances. Therefore, we expect Manchester City to win, but under 2.5 goals.
Fulham`s impressive form of 7 games without a loss came to an end with a 3-2 loss to Brentford. They are currently sitting 7th on the table, just a few points shy of the Top 5. This outfit has also not been shy of scoring goals – having found the back on the net in 6 consecutive games and may well do the same on Sunday. Unfortunately for them, this may not be the game they boost their European hopes – having failed to beat Arsenal in their last 9 games.
Arsenal showed a true winner’s mentality after coming back from a 2-goal deficit to win the game against Bournemouth in the Premier league. Unfortunately, their European trip was not as successful as they settled for a 2-2 draw in Lisbon. The Gunners have no problem putting a couple in the opposition’s net, but their problem has been in the defence as they`ve conceded 4 goals in 2 consecutive games. Still, with the attitude we`ve seen last weekend, it is difficult to imagine Arsenal getting anything other than 3 points. Therefore, we expect Arsenal to win, and both teams to score.
We wish you a profitable week!
