Premier League Weekend Previews.

The title race and the race for the Top 4 are now in high gear. We`ve got more action coming from the Premier League this weekend – get yourself ready with our match previews!

Manchester City vs Leeds

With a game in hand, the Citizens have the chance to increase their league lead to 4 points. Man City hammered the Hammers in a 3-0 win at the Etihad, continuing their 8-game winning streak on home soil. This is unlikely to change on Saturday, as City has beaten Leeds in 3 consecutive meetings, and scored a total of 14 goals. Furthermore, Leeds took a 7-0 beating on their last visit to the Etihad.

The pressure is rising on Allardyce & Co., as they`ve lost in 5 consecutive PL fixtures, and only the goal difference keeps them out of the drop zone. They took an embarrassing 4-1 defeat on the road against Bournemouth, adding to their poor away form this season – just 2 wins in 17 outings. Overall, it is quite simple, we anticipate Leeds` backline to crumble yet again, therefore, we expect Manchester City to win and over 2.5 goals.

Newcastle vs Arsenal

Newcastle is proving itself worthy of European football – 3rd place, and 3 consecutive PL victories where they`ve scored a total of 13 goals. St. James` Park has been fortified this season – just 1 loss in the whole competition, and the last time a London side paid a visit, they left with a 6-1 humbling. They go into the game on the back of 4 home victories and will certainly be a problem for Arsenal.

Arsenal finally broke their 4-game winless run with a 3-1 victory over Chelsea. However, the Gunners` defensive capabilities are worrying, as they`ve now conceded in 7 consecutive PL games. The 2 sides drew 0-0 in the reverse fixture, and before that, Newcastle won 2-0 at St. James`. Considering Newcastle`s high-flying form, and Arsenal’s leaky defence, we think we`ll see a tight game. We expect a draw, and both teams to score.

West Ham vs Man United

Just 4 points away from relegation, West Ham are now on a 3-game losing streak, coming off a 3-0 defeat to Man City. Their recent home run has been shaky, as they`ve not won in 3 consecutive games, although they did hold Arsenal to a 2-2 draw. It`s been even when looking at the last 5 games these sides had at the London Stadium, with 1 draw, 2 wins for the Hammers, and 2 recent victories for United. 3 of the 5 games ended in over 2.5 goals and both teams scored.

The Red Devils fumbled their game against Brighton in a 1-0 defeat. A worrying stat - United have won just 1 of their last 5 away games in the PL, so they are unlikely to breeze past the London side. However, they have already gotten the best of the Hammers this season, winning 1-0 in the reverse fixture, and a 3-1 win in the FA Cup. United has been a suspect side to back recently, although, this is likely to be an action-packed fixture based on history. We expect both teams to score and over 2.5 goals.
