Trans Tasman Super Rugby, 12th June
Trans Tasman Super Rugby, 12th June

The final Saturday in this competition that will still include an Aussie side. Let’s take a close look at what to expect.

Rebels vs Crusaders – Saturday 12 Jun @ 06:35, NSW

Whilst the Rebels haven’t even come close to picking up a victory in this tournament they did show some improvement in attack over the past two weeks – managing four tries against both the Chiefs and the Highlanders. This week though it’s their defence that will be tested. The Crusaders are likely to steam into this one needing a bonus point (and possibly even a positive points difference) so it could be all hands on deck for Melbourne side in their quest to keep the boat afloat. There will be no time for the Rebels to stop and smell the flowers in their last outing here in Lilyfield – they need to be air-tight with zero leaks or this ship is going down big time on Saturday in a sunny afternoon match in NSW.

Betolimp Bets:

First Tryscorer: Brodie McAlister @ 17.00
First Rebels Tryscorer: Isi Naisarani @ 10.00
Last Tryscorer: Richie Mo’unga @ 17.00

Blues vs Force – Saturday 12 June @ 09:05, Auckland

The Blues are steaming along in the Trans-Tasman and have their destiny well and truly in their own hands. A bonus point victory secures top spot for the Aucklanders and they should fancy their chances of achieving this against a Force side who might just have emptied their tank against the Crusaders last week.

The Force made the Crusaders look very human in Christchurch but I’m expecting something closer to their 7 tries to zero effort against the Canes in Napier for this clash. It’s week 3 of their time in Kiwiland and despite the fact that the Western Aussies are the traveling gypsies of the rugby world I think they will be pining for the comforts of home come the hour mark.

Betolimp Bets:

First Tryscorer: Hoskins Sotuto @ 21.00
Last Tryscorer: Akira Iona @ 15.00

Waratahs vs Chiefs – Sat 12 June @ 11:45, Sydney

The Waratahs have managed points a plenty in this comp but for their last course they face a side who have chalked up 17 tries in their previous three outings. The Chiefs have zero chance of making it into the final but I expect them to come out looking to entertain yet again. Tries should flow like cheap wine at a koshuis huisdans in this one.

Betolimp Bets:

First Waratahs Tryscorer: Rahboni Warren-Vosayayco @ 15.00
Last Tryscorer: Anton Lienert-Brown @ 19.00

Trans-Tasman Double: Crusaders -20.5 onto Blues -18.5 @ 1.88
